Miwa Kageyama (Japanese: 影山 (かげやま) 美羽 (みわ) , Kageyama Miwa) is the older sister of Tobio Kageyama. She currently works as a hair and makeup artist. Miwa has short black hair that reaches just below her jaw and pulled back bangs.

- Shoyo Hinata. The main protagonist throughout the series, Hinata, is a cheery, optimistic and hardworking member of the Karasuno team. While he is on the shorter side (with regards to volleyball players), he doesn't let that stop him from dreaming big and still being a serious threat to opposing teams.
- Tobio Kageyama. Hinata's partner in crime and also the series' deuteragonist, Kageyama, is an essential part of the story as he plays a large role in Hinata's (and also his own) personal growth.
- Daichi Sawamura. Third-year and Team Captain, Daichi, is often seen as the "dad" of the group and is constantly left to deal with the younger member's quarrels and antics.
- Koshi Sugawara. While Team Captain, Daichi, is often seen as Karasuno's father figure, Suga serves as the team's tough but fair mother figure. Suga is a kind upperclassman and often comforts the other members when they're down, but still makes sure to scold them when they are in the wrong.
As he got older, he and his older sister, Miwa, would follow their grandfather, Kazuyo, who was a coach of a municipal ladies' team, to the gym and practice together. The three trained together for several years and in second grade, Kageyama joined a team called the Little Falcons.

I came across somewhere about the possibility of Kageyama having a sister. - on chapter 108 (but unfortunately not in the anime) there is the brief introduction of the "Queens", the female high school Miyagi rapresentative for the Nationals: Niiyama Joshi high school.
