For a barbarian, Thundarr owed a lot to Star Wars. He wielded a glowing weapon called a Sun Sword, reminiscent of a light saber. His sidekick, Ookla the Mok, had a lot in common with Chewbacca the Wookiee.

As someone who loved Thundarr The Barbarian as a kid 35 years ago, and who played an AD&D game based on Thundarr at the time, and who also bought Rifts when it was first released, my apologies but I do not personally agree with this linkage. D.
Obviously the titular Thundarr is a pretty classical human Barb that would have to wield a SunBlade (like that weapon is 100% the same as the show), but Berserker seems a little lackluster so I was looking for something like a reflavored Zealot.
