May 3, 2016 · The Governors of St Aloysius’ College are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Matthew Bartlett as Head Master with effect from October 24, 2016. Mr Bartlett is currently Headteacher at twice ‘outstanding’ Ofsted-rated Dover Grammar School for Girls, which also hosts a co-educational Sixth Form.

St Aloysius' College is a Roman Catholic, boys-only state school in the London Borough of Islington, England. Each year around 180 pupils are admitted to Year 7 (aged 11 or 12) on the basis of examination; the local education authority also assigns students without another school to this school.

Since 1866, the College's main campus has been situated in Garnethill on the north side of Glasgow city centre, adjacent to the Glasgow School of Art. Originally, the school was for boys only.
