Nov 27, 2023 · The first phase of the park’s transformation is already complete, with 2022’s opening of the reimagined Overton Park 9. For the next phases, we’ve focused here on the three areas of the park where we expect significant improvements, but other sections will get some needed TLC as well.

Jan 5, 2022 · Crews spread grass seed on the ninth fairway of the golf course. The course will be rechristened Overton Park 9 when it reopens in 2022. Construction on the course has been completed, and a renovation of the Abe Goodman clubhouse will begin soon.

Without the courage, determination and savvy of these women imagine: Traffic on six lanes of interstate concrete, roaring through Overton Park, with the zoo and Rhodes on the north side and a polluted forest on the south.
