Meyer Harris Cohen, better known as Mickey Cohen, was an American gangster who ran the street gang ‘The Bugs and Meyer Mob’ after its original founder Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel was murdered. Cohen had worked with Siegel for a while before earning his trust and eventually becoming his right-hand man.
After Siegel's death, his chief lieutenant Mickey Cohen took over his remaining gambling and loan shark operations in Los Angeles. He refused to fall in line behind Dragna and Dragna saw this as an opportunity to eliminate him as Cohen began to create his own crime family that quickly began to rival Dragna's.
