The titular character of the series, Kaguya Shinomiya (四宮 かぐや, Shinomiya Kaguya) is the vice president of Shuchiin Academy's student council. She is known for her beauty, intelligence and wealth, her family owning one of the largest business conglomerates in Japan.

Nagisa Kashiwagi (柏木 渚かしわぎ なぎさ, Kashiwagi Nagisa) is a supporting character in the Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai series. She is a third-year high school student at Shuchi'in Academy, the president of the Volunteering Club, a close friend of Maki Shijo and the girlfriend of Tsubasa Tanuma.
Nagisa is a young girl with short dark brown hair, dark brown eyes and a double-banded hairpin on the left side.
She wears the standard Shuchi'in Academy high school uniform.
Nagisa has a friendly demeanor to people especially to her classmates who cares a lot about Tsubasa Tanuma and Maki Shijo.
She exhibits many typical girlfriend behaviors such as talking a lot, being moody, or even jealousy to the point where she hires a private detective to spy on her boyfriend to see if he is having an affair, later making up with him by being very physically bold and passionate.
Nagisa is the daughter of the chairman of a major shipbuilding company and Miyuki Shirogane's classmate who has excellent grades and academically ranks in the top ten of her class.
Early in the series, she is confessed to by a classmate and ends up accepting on a whim. After that, she started to occasionally ask Kaguya about what to do in her relationships and vice versa.
•The name Nagisa means "beach, shore, water's edge" (渚).
•Nagisa's surname Kashiwagi means "oak tree" (柏木).
•Nagisa has a tendency to gossip about relationships and romance, usually with Kaguya Shinomiya.
•Nagisa is one of the academy's VIPs.
•In Chapter 138, Nagisa tells Kaguya that it was about two months after the first kiss before she and Tsubasa Tanuma started having sex, but it took about 40 seconds after the French kiss.
