The East Coast Park in only a short stroll south down Joo Chiat Road and is a 185 hectare, 15 km stretch of palm tree lined parkland with great views over the water. The East Coast Park is supposedly visited by over 7 million people a year and I can understand why.
The 185-hectare (460-acre) East Coast Park is the largest park in Singapore, and is built entirely on reclaimed land with a man-made beach, where swimming is possible. The beach is protected by breakwaters. The park has barbecue pits, chalets, food centres and amenities for various sports activities.

Located along the east coast of the island, this park covers an area of 185 hectares and boasts a stunning 15-kilometre stretch of coastline. Other than cycling along the coast, there are also park connectors that bring you to central Marina Bay Sands and slightly west to the Southern Ridges.
East Coast Park starts at the end of Tanjong Katong Rd in Joo Chiat (Katong) and ends at the National Sailing Centre in Bedok, which is actually closer to the Tanah Merah MRT station. It's connected to Changi Beach Park by the Coastal Park Connector Network (PCN), a 15km park connector running along Changi Coast Rd, beside the airport runway.
