Jul 18, 2014 · In my imagination, the legendary John Tiller lives in a hexagonal mansion/pillbox atop a hexagonal hill in Hexham, Northumberland. He never drives anywhere without first checking which hexes are visible from his destination, and setting aside sufficient Action Points for unloading.

Wargame Design Studio (WDS) was founded in August 2016 to support and enhance John Tiller's wargame series. In September 2021, WDS bought the full John Tiller game catalogue with a remit to continue to publish and enhance the complete range.
Talonsoft went out of business, and the rights to the games were bought by Matrix. The rights allow them to continue to use Tiller's name. Tiller then went on to sell his games through HPS. After several years, he formed his own company, John Tiller Software.
