Iris makes her first active choice of the film when she accepts Lambrick’s invitation. Lambrick gives Iris a time limit and tells her she must respond by eight o’clock to take part in the game.
At dinner, Lambrick learns Iris is a vegetarian, and offers her ten grand to eat a steak and compromise her principles. She reluctantly does so. At the end of the film, Iris’s final choice is to either shoot Lucas dead in cold-blood or let him live, at the cost of both of them walking away empty-handed. Iris does it.
