Sep 24, 2024 · How to Parry in Elden Ring. First, you must have a Shield equipped in your left hand with Parry or another parry skill. Then when the enemy makes a parriable attack, press the skill button at just the right time so your shield is coming up just as the enemy's arm is coming down.
They were a thing in DS3 and they still exist in Elden Ring, though I did not test them because it is very tedious and not necessary to land a successful parry. There's probably also hand parry & weapon parry distinctions, but I didn't test that either.

The best part? There’s a checkpoint statue right beside the area, and when you die you’re free to pick up your runes before teleporting back to his alternate reality location.
