  4. Recently. besides me, players knowing this technique begin to call it “sword parry” because we always use no-lock parry + crouch canceling to make it look like real sword parry. Otherwise, this technique is really not as useful as normal parry. Indeed, it can let you parry enemy’s attack immediately. That’s faster than normal parry.

    Parrying a melee attack can make your opponent stagger, leaving a room for a counter-attack. For the most part, you should really only parry a melee attack if there is only one enemy in the vicinity.
