Geraldine Leigh Chaplin (born July 31, 1944) [1] [2] is an American actress whose long career has included roles in English, Spanish, French, Italian and German films. Geraldine is a daughter of Charlie Chaplin, the first of eight children with his fourth wife, Oona O'Neill, and thus a granddaughter of playwright Eugene O'Neill. [3]
Geraldine Chaplin has dated – Bobby Darin Carlos Saura (1967-1979) – She was in a long-term relationship with Spanish film director Carlos Saura and they parent a son named Shane Saura Chaplin.

Geraldine Leigh Chaplin was born on July 31, 1944, in Santa Monica, California, to Charlie Chaplin and his fourth wife, Oona O'Neill. She is the fourth child of her father, and the first of her mother, and has seven younger siblings.
Granddaughter of playwright Eugene O'Neill (1888-1965) and the singer Charles Chaplin Sr. (1864-1901). Oona Chaplin (1926-1991), Eugene O'Neill 's daughter, was married to Charlie Chaplin from 1943 until his death in 1977.

Chaplin married Chilean cinematographer Patricio Castilla on August 18, 2006, her long-time companion. They have two children together, Shane (born in 1974) from her relationship with Saura and Oona (born in 1986) with Castilla. Chaplin occasionally travels to Miami, her hometown in Florida, where she owns a beach house.
