Mar 11, 2018 · Merriel began her dance studies with Andre Pavley and Serge Oukransky, two Russian-trained dancers who had left Russia in the early 1900s and opened a dance studio in Chicago. Soon Merriel began assisting and teaching in the Andre and Serge’s school, opening her own dance studio in 1922.
Ms. Prall graduated from the University of Michigan in 2020 having performed as Aunt Lou in William Grant Still’s Highway 1, U.S.A. under the direction of Louise Toppin.
