Nov 9, 2023 · David Wilbur Augsburger, husband of Leann Elrich Augsburger, died Oct. 30, 2023, at his home in Claremont, California, surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was 85. David was born on August 14, 1938, in Delphos, Ohio, to Clarence and Estella Shenk Augsburger, the youngest of six children.
David W. Augsburger is an American Anabaptist author with a Ph.D. from Claremont School of Theology and a BA and BD from Eastern Mennonite College and Eastern Mennonite Seminary respectively. He is one of six children, Fred, Donald, Anna Mary, Daniel and Myron, born to Clarence and Estella Augsburger.
David Augsburger, who has taught at Fuller Seminary since 1990, is senior professor of pastoral care and counseling in the School of Theology.
