There is a reference to this 'Chapel of St David' in a 1512 bull of Pope Julius II, who allowed burials to take place at Moreton instead of Blockley because of the hardship caused by the intervening floods and hills.
It was almost completely rebuilt in 1858. The churchyard itself was closed in 1867 and the cemetery was opened on the London Road. The inscriptions on the gravestones are not at all clear. Moreton-in-Marsh, Cotswold District, Gloucestershire, England.
