- Ponyta and Rapidash. Another regional form that is available in its other form with the new update is Ponyta. While regular Ponyta can be caught in Shield in its Psychic-type form and then evolved into the Psychic/Fairy-type Galarian Rapidash, their Kantonian Fire-type forms can now be imported.
- Alolan Marowak. If a Pokemon is available in Galar and has another regional form, that other form can typically be imported in from Pokemon HOME. One of these is Alolan Marowak, which can now be traded in thanks to its Kantonian counterpart being available on the Isle of Armor.
- Reshiram. A handful of older-generation Legendaries were added as Pokemon that can be imported from the older games in the series. One of them is Gen-V box mascot, Reshiram, which is Dragon/Fire-type.
- Litten, Torracat, and Incineroar. One of the starter lines that was added to the game in a later update is Alola's resident Fire-type line, starting with Litten.
