Apr 7, 2021 · Without question, Jefferson Pierce aka Black Lightning is the single-most powerful character on the series. In conjunction with his meta-human physiological traits, Black Lightning has the ability to control, shield, absorb, move, and manipulate various forms of electricity.

- Jennifer Pierce. A lot of TV shows—including the recent Superman & Lois—have an irritating teenager. In Black Lightning, Jennifer is one such teen. Unlike her sister, she doesn't do much that would be considered admirable.
- Khalil aka Painkiller. Khalil is getting his own spinoff and it'll be interesting to see how that will turn out. So far, he hasn't really been his own man.
- Dr. Lynn Stewart. The neuroscientist has done a lot to help her sometimes-lover, sometimes-ex Jefferson. She has conducted plenty of experiments at Browman College and also assisted in stabilizing the metahuman gene.
- Chief Bill Henderson. Bill manages to save Jefferson's life during the War For Freeland, so he gets high points for that. Sadly, he dies during the same war after he gets shot by a Markovian soldier using an advanced pulse cannon.
