Feb 15, 2003 · Without a doubt Viera played better than Keane today but as has been said thats just one match. When both are playing at thier peak i always feel that viera is more creative where keane is the better defensively.
Both would be in my all time PL team. I think Keane was the better leader, but would probably say Viera was slightly better because he was more of an all rounder.

Now, that’s a great thing to do, but Keane was actually better at receiving the ball and building from the back than Vieira. Vieira was slightly better than Keane as a footballer, but Keane was much better as a leader. Also Keane was far more consistent with his performances than Vieira.
