His duel in season 4 against his "father" was one of the best episodes in any series of Yugioh. That entire confrontation and the flashbacks were just insane. The show's writing is at its best when it asks disturbing philosophical questions to kids. O'Brien is an awesome character.

Players who had been successful in other North American tournaments (OTS Championships, Regionals and YCSs) got to compete to become the North American Champion. It took place at the Austin Convention Center from 19 - 21 July 2024 and was the first major TCG event following the release of The Infinite Forbidden.
