- Shane’s Castle. With its abundance of ruined castles, Northern Ireland is Game of Thrones territory proper. Shane’s Castle is a ruined castle on a 2600 acre estate on the northeast shores of Lough Neagh (lough means lake) in Northern Ireland.
- Castle Ward. Castle Ward is a crenellated 16th century ruin located near the village of Strangford in Northern Ireland. Castle Ward’s been Ward family property since 1570.
