Season XP is a form of Experience in Fortnite that can be obtained by playing regular matches, or through completing Challenges/Quests. Season XP is used to level up the Battle Pass, which unlock Battle Pass Cosmetic Items.
The XP System has gone through lots of changes with it first being introduced in Season 1. The tier progression system replaced the XP system in Season 3 before reverting back in Chapter 2: Season 1.
In Chapter 2, the Season XP bar is displayed in the bottom of the HUD. The bar is yellow when it is Supercharged (XP gain boost).
Prior to v18.40, the only way to gain Season XP in Creative was through playtime. The Creative Accolades Device allows players to earn XP through various methods. Creative games with Creative Accolades Device enabled have the XP icon on the playlist selection menu.
When Unreal Editor for Fortnite was launched, no Season XP can be earned, but was changed with the introduction of the Accolades Device in UEFN.
Season XP can be earned:
•In Battle Royale and Zero Build matches (including Ranked, Tournaments, Team Rumble, and Limited Time Modes).
•Completing missions in Save the World. XP is earned regardless of mission outcome. There is a daily XP cap of 320,000 as of Chapter 5: Season 1.
•Competing quests and challenges in each game mode.
•In Creative and Unreal Editor islands with the Accolades Device or through playtime.
•Rocket Racing
