    Graham Gardner, a 52-year- old oil worker, was travelling home to Renfrewshire in Scotland. His wife Joyce, 51, said he was a ‘ loving, caring and laid-back man – nothing fazed him’. She added: ‘Although we don’t have children, he was very much a family man and loved playing with all the children in our extended family.’

    Aisling Butler, from County Tipperary, Jane Deasy, of Dublin, and Eithne Walls, from Belfast, were travelling together. Dr Walls had performed on Broadway with the Riverdance troupe just before she began medical studies. A Welsh woman friend of the three, who trained together in Dublin, was on the plane but has not been named.
