The kids were played by Robin Davies (Simon), David Parfitt (Peter) and Maxine Gordon (Jane). Wendy Craig wrote quite a few episodes of this series under the pen name of Johnathon Marr.
Newly remarried Sally Redway (formerly Harrison) finds that her children, now augmented by the daughter of her new husband, may be a little older, but are just as troublesome as before.

This charming sequel to And Mother Makes Three saw scatter-brained widow Sally Harrison (Wendy Craig) re-marry. Her new husband was widower and antiquarian bookseller David Redway (Richard Coleman), who also had a child of his own, Jane (Maxine Gordon).
Sally pops next door to invite the new neighbours round for a few drinks, hints about the man's employment leave her fearing for her safety, and David's horrified when his wife gets carted off in the back of a police car.
