The MacMahon Baronetcy, of Clonderalaw in the County of Clare, was a title in the Baronetage of Ireland. It was created on 15 August 1628 for Teague MacMahon. The title is presumed to have become extinct on the death of the second Baronet sometime after 1683.
Dec 12, 2023 · Mr McMahon was created a baronet in 1815, designated of Dublin. He married firstly, in 1807, Frances, daughter of Beresford Burston, of the Irish Bar, and one of His Majesty's Counsel, and had issue, BERESFORD BURSTON, his successor;
McMahon baronets. There have been two baronetcies created for members of the McMahon family, both in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom, and belonging to different branches of the same family. One creation is extant as of 2024.
The McMahon Baronetcy, of Dublin, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 6 May 1815 for William MacMahon, who was Master of the Rolls in Ireland. The title became extinct on the death of the 4th Baronet in 1926.
The listing below is an abridged version of the manuscript Official Roll of the Baronetage (“the Official Roll”) maintained by the Lord Chancellor in accordance with the Royal Warrant of the 8th February 1910 and a Transfer of Functions Order of 2001.

The Baronetage is of far more ancient origin than many people may think. The term baronet is believed to have been first applied to nobility who for one reason or another had lost the right of summons to Parliament. The earliest mention of baronets was in the Battle of Barrenberg in 1321.
