The iconic image was copied by the artist Tom Chantrell to create the film poster promoting the theatrical release of One Million Years B.C. Welch's depiction is accompanied by the film's title in bold red lettering across a landscape populated with dinosaurs.
Almost uniquely among British cinema poster artists, Chantrell was employed to create pre-production artwork for mooted films (these for Hammer Studios). In some cases the artwork depicted a proposed poster, this used to try & secure American funding (in these cases the artwork was generally for too explicit to ever make it into print).

The iconic image of Raquel Welch posing in her fur bikini warranted front cover position on Sim Branaghan's book "British Film Posters" (2006). However, what we have here is a very early Hammer Studios commissioned pre-production Chantrell poster (Quad sized at 30"x 40").
