Sneaker Pimps is an English downtempo / trip-hop band, initially active from 1995 to 2006 and working together again since 2019. As Line of Flight and Frisk, DJs and childhood friends Chris Corner from Middlesbrough and Liam Howe from Hartlepool released two EPs: "Soul of Indiscretion" and "World as A Cone" in the early 1990s.
Members through their history include Kelli Ali (vocals, occasional lyrics – under name Kelli Dayton), Joe Wilson (bass, guitar, occasional vocals), David Westlake (drums, programming), Ian Pickering (lyrics, occasional vocals, and bass on later live gigs).
History. Chris Corner and Liam Howe met as teenagers in the 1980s, both taking an interest in recording and studio experimentation. They banded together under the name F.R.I.S.K. and produced the Soul of Indiscretion EP, an early example of what became known as trip hop.
