Aug 29, 2013 · God uses ordinary people who obey Him. Isaac’s growth in obedience was slow, and it was never perfect. As an old man he was still partial to blessing Esau over Jacob, in spite of Esau’s godless ways. But, in spite of his imperfection, you can see progress in obedience, and the Lord responded to it.

Apr 12, 2015 · Thus to reach the world, God uses people whom He has given to His son, who know and obey Him, whom He keeps while they’re in this world. But the text ends on a somber note, as Jesus mentions Judas (John 17:12), “the son of perdition,” who perished “so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.”
Upon any and all of God’s people — not just the church’s leaders, but the vast majority of “common, ordinary people” that are seeking after God. •• These people had just received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on the Church’s first great Day of Pentecost (Acts 1:5; 2:1-4).

Jul 8, 2015 · Reflect & Pray. Lord, I am just an ordinary person, but You are an all-powerful God. I want to serve You. Please show me how and give me the strength. God uses ordinary people to carry out His extraordinary plan.
Work toward unity, and live in harmony with one another. Avoid thinking you are better than others or wiser than the rest; instead, embrace common people and ordinary tasks.
