The Whirlybirds have been teaching a brother-sister act to fly so they can use a helicopter in their trapeze act. After his student returns from a solo flight Chuck finds evidence that connects him to a $200,000 armored truck robbery.
111 x 25 minute episodes. PT Moore (Craig Hill) and Chuck Martin (Kenneth Tobey) were ex-American Air Force pilots operating a Bell helicopter charter service – the Whirlybird Service of Longwood Field, California (call sign Seven-Five-Bravo) – with some crime-fighting on the side, of course.
The Whirlybirds are hired to take a military scientist to a rocket site to test his invention. When they arrive they find themselves under military arrest. It seems that a doppelganger had already arrived claiming to be the scientist.

The show centered around Chuck Martin (Kenneth Tobey) and Pete (P.T.) Moore (Craig Hill), owners of 'Whirlybirds, Inc', who flew their helicopter (N975B) between Longwood Field and anywhere where they could be of help to someone in trouble. Often the boys would be called in to help the police locate an escaped
