Whirlybirds (sometimes called The Whirlybirds or Copter Patrol) is a syndicated American drama/adventure television series, which aired for 111 episodes — broadcast from February 4, 1957, through January 18, 1960. [1] It was produced by Desilu Studios.
The show centered around Chuck Martin (Kenneth Tobey) and Pete (P.T.) Moore (Craig Hill), owners of 'Whirlybirds, Inc', who flew their helicopter (N975B) between Longwood Field and anywhere where they could be of help to someone in trouble.
Whirlybirds. PT Moore (Craig Hill) and Chuck Martin (Kenneth Tobey) were ex-American Air Force pilots operating a Bell helicopter charter service – the Whirlybird Service of Longwood Field, California (call sign Seven-Five-Bravo) – with some crime-fighting on the side, of course.
The Whirlybirds are hired to find a missing uranium prospector. The search area is rugged and inhospitable, and the task is even harder when two claim jumpers try to stop them.
