May 18, 2019 · What Are The Best Games Like Banished? Banished is a fantastic city-building survival game that will make anyone a fan of those genres gleeful. There are lots of great games out there that fit that bill though.
Haven't really had time to actually play it, but heard a few people compare the feel of the game to Banished. I would recommend a few older titles which I still enjoy quite a bit: The Settlers series (4 being my favorite, 2 being a great classic, and 5 being a bit more modern and enjoyable, but sort of lackluster in comparison to the others)
There are a lot of games released recently that are similar to Banished: Planetbase, Dawn of Man, Foundation, Ostriv, etc. Dawn of Man is probably one of the best if you enjoy the game play loop of Banished but want a sense of improvement and development.

It really depends. I like management/building style games. Banished is basically that. Doesn't necessarily mean building a civilization, but building and managing anything.
The difference between Banished and both of these games, however, is that keeping your populace happy (not just alive) is critical! In Pharaoh, your people can rob your pyramid or send invading armies at you, and in Frostpunk your town can literally rise up and kill you.
