Tokyo Revengers fight scenes are nowhere near as flashy as the other fights on this list. That said, the hype the show can provide in the gang wars of Japanese delinquent students is mind-blowing. Vivy vs Yugo Kakitani yet again proved that Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song has some of the best hand-to-hand combat fights we’ve seen in recent years. The fight managed to one-up Vivy vs Elizabeth, with its jaw-dropping slow-motion scenes and fluid animation.
- Yuji, Todo, and Gojo vs Hanami from Jujutsu Kaisen. Studio MAPPA entered 2021 swinging, figuratively and literally, with Jujutsu Kaisen. Despite having a lot of battles to choose from, this one outweighs the others by far in the sheer animation quality, extensive choreography, and the demonstrations of different characters' powers.
- Rengoku vs Akaza from Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc) Though this seems like cheating as the Demon Slayer movie came out in 2020, it was recapped in 2021 with the Mugen Train Arc, meaning it’s on our list anyway.
