- Dyrham Park. As Seen in Sanditon: Sanditon aspires to be “the finest resort on the south coast,”—just ask Tom Parker! But to create this world, the production team centered in Bristol, close to the heart of Georgian period Austen, filming at their ambitious set at Bristol’s Bottle Yard Studios and drawing from the beaches and dunes around Bristol and Somerset and stately National Trust estates such as Dyrham Park.
- Iford Manor: The Peto Gardens. As Seen in Sanditon: The stone bridge at Iford Manor appears in Episode 1 of Sanditon, as Charlotte contemplates leaving Willingden and her father famously warns her to beware of…everything!
- Bowood House. As Seen in Sanditon: Sanditon viewers will appreciate the beauty of Bowood House’s shell grotto, waterfall, and lake in Episode 7, when a regatta comes to Sanditon!
- Brean Beach. As Seen in Sanditon: The production filmed in the dunes and along Brean Beach for those sweeping shots that scream “resort,” such as the scene with the horse-drawn bathing machines set up along the beach (though the actual bathing occurred at nearby Weston-super-Mare’s Marine Lake…in March!).
- Dyrham Park. Dyrham Park on the edge of the Cotswolds is a magnificent estate managed by the National Trust, which dates back to before the 1600s. Although the estate has changed a great deal over the centuries (we’ve got interesting before and after pictures in our blog post right here), there’s no mistaking Dyrham Park’s prominence within Sanditon.
- West Littleton Church. If you’re visiting Dyrham Park as part of a Sanditon road trip, then why not make a quick detour to West Littleton. This unassuming little village is just a ten-minute drive from Dyrham Park and is where you’ll find the church that Charlotte Heywood visits with the Parkers.
- Bowood House & Gardens. Remember the frivolous Regatta that comes to Sanditon? This was filmed at Bowood House and Gardens in Wiltshire, which is about an hour’s drive from both Bristol and Bath.
- Iford Manor. Within an hour’s drive south of Bowood House & Gardens, you’ll find the Iford Manor Estate. This estate is also privately owned; this time by the Cartwright-Hignett family.

It’s not the first time the six-storey townhouse built in 1790 has been used for the show; series one also filmed there in 2019.
