   Is there a French patisserie on Girard?

   • What a dream! It's inside a home furnishings store on Girard. The workers inside the patisserie speak French, and there was such a beautiful offering of pastries and desserts. I got there right at opening at 9am. The store was a little delayed in opening the front door. But that didn't bother me once I stepped inside.

   • By far the best baked goods place in San Diego county is this little place tucked in the back of a shop in La Jolla. The staff is exceptionally patient and helpful here. There are a couple of tables inside and a few outside as well.

   Is La Jolla bakery a good place to eat?

   • The bakery itself is a small part of a larger shop that has some interesting finds. Seating is limited so don't expect to eat there, my recommendation get it and find a spot with a better view; it's La Jolla, shouldn't be too hard to do. While a line had formed after 915, it was in no way nearly as bad as other fad-ish places. It moves quickly.

   Does PG have a good pastry flavor?

   • PG gets it right in all three respects. The flavors are great, and raspberry with the note of rose is a perfect pastry flavor. I love that the rose is more than just a hint but not overpowering. Same with the mango, there's more mango flavor than sugar. The bow-tie chocolate was just awesome.
