Yeovil Pen Mill is a passing station on the single-line ex-GWR line from Castle Cary to Weymouth. This is the view from the road overbridge at the country (south) end. To the right of the station are two goods loops and a siding. This is the view from the other side of the same bridge.

Nov 22, 2016 · Despite having been scheduled for replacement during 2016, Yeovil Pen Mill signal box remains an isolated outpost of semaphore signalling in the south of England, where the nearest surviving manual signals are those at Liskeard in Cornwall and at Marchwood on the freight-only Fawley branch near Southampton.

Whilst there are excellent websites out there with great photos of inside boxes (Danny Scroggins site springs to mind) there isn’t much out there of the actual behinds the scenes equipment powering it all!
