Oaklawn Cemetery is the oldest existing cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It occupies 20 acres of ground and is bounded on the north by 8th street, on the east by Peoria Ave., on the south by 11th Street and on the west by Midland Valley Railroad right-of-way which now is part of an interdispersal highway loop.
The Perryman Cemetery, located at 32nd and Utica, is Tulsa’s oldest private cemetery. The cemetery has approximately fifty people buried and has a small number of unmarked graves. The Perryman’s were instrumental in the foundation of Tulsa during the 19th century.

To view approximately 24,000 images from the Beryl Ford Collection* housed on the library’s website, click here. *In 2004 the Rotary Club of Tulsa purchased the Beryl Ford Collection. Beryl Ford had been collecting Tulsa history for most of his life before his death in 2009 at the age of 83.
