- Furuzamami Beach. The most famous beach on the Kerama archipelago, Furuzamami Beach has some of the best coral reefs in Okinawa. Although part of the coral reef is now closed off to protect it from damage, there are still plenty of colorful clownfish, sea snakes, sea anemones, and several species of butterflyfish in the area.
- Sunset Beach. As the name suggests, Sunset Beach is famous for its golden sunsets right over the water. Families, couples, and visitors all congregate regularly on this small 250-meter-long beach in the evenings to watch the sky change into shades of reds and yellows.
- Mibaru Beach. Mirabu Beach is located on the southeastern coast side, and it enjoys a shorter swimming season than other beaches in Okinawa. But even during the busy months – April to October – the beach remains quiet and secluded enough, with simpler amenities and fewer offerings.
- Sunayama Beach. Famous for its arch-shaped rocks and its beautiful sunsets over emerald green waters, Sunayama Beach is a quiet hideaway on Miyakojima Island.

- Kondoi Beach. Taketomi is one of the most popular remote islands in the Ishigaki area. On the west side of the island, you’ll find the famous Kondoi Beach, known for its shallow waters and gentle waves, which is why it’s especially recommended for families with small children.
- Sesoko Beach. Sesoko Beach is popular with tourists and locals alike because it offers easy access by car from Okinawa's main island. Located just a 15-minute ride from Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, the beach is located on a small remote island called Sesoko Island.
- Nishihama Beach. Nishihama Beach is located on Hateruma Island, Japan’s southernmost inhabited island, and is known for its fine white sands and a sea that turns various beautiful shades of blue throughout the day (which has earned it the nickname “Hateruma Blue”).

- Nishihara Kira Kira Beach, Naha. Nishihara Yonabaru Marine Park is a large complex with facilities for all sorts of activities, from BBQ to soccer. Kira Kira Beach is a long stretch of soft white sand fronting the park.
- Mibaru Beach, Nanjo. Pass under the blue arch marking the entrance to Mibaru Beach, and you enter Okinawa Honto’s most scenic beach. “Mushroom” rocks and coral reefs just offshore lend it a mystical air at low tide.
- Naminoue Beach, Naha. Dominating this beach is Naminoue-gu Shrine, Okinawa’s most important Shinto shrine. Shinto is closely linked to nature, and this beach is a welcome natural oasis amid the urban sprawl of Naha.
