May 7, 2024 · Taylorsville Lake State Park, located west of Lexington and southeast of Louisville, Kentucky, encompasses some of the most beautiful horse riding country. Camping options include 45 spacious RV sites with electric & water hook-ups, 10 equestrian sites with electric & water hook-ups, and 15 primitive tent sites along with options for group camping.
There are 30 campgrounds in the Kentucky State Park system, spread out across the state so you’re not too far from being able to enjoy the outdoors. Four parks – Dale Hollow Lake, Pennyrile Forest, Taylorsville Lake and Carter Caves – also offer equestrian-friendly sites.
