Holyrood Academy is an 11-18 over-subscribed Academy in Somerset with approximately 1400 students on roll, including around 170 in the Sixth Form. Since 1910, the school has existed in the centre of the historic market town of Chard in South Somerset and it is the only secondary school in the town.

Aug 17, 2023 · STUDENTS at Holyrood Academy in Chard are celebrating an “excellent set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results” achieved by their Sixth Formers, of whom the staff and younger students at the school are very proud. Isla Vincent achieved an A* in Biology and two further A Grades in Chemistry and History.

Holyrood Academy, previously known as Holyrood Community School before September 2010, is a secondary school with academy status in Chard, Somerset, England. From April 2017 to August 2019 it was part of the Vector Learning Trust, a Multi Academy Trust which also included the nearby Axe Valley Academy in Axminster. [1]
