The Akron Zoo, officially known as the Akron Zoological Park, is a non-profit zoo located just west of downtown in Akron, Ohio, United States. The zoo sits on 77-acre (31 ha) of which 35-acre (14 ha) are occupied with by habitats, amenities, and support.
The Akron Zoo is a vibrant, compact zoological park covering about 50 acres in Akron, Ohio. Established in 1953, the zoo has become home to over 1,000 animals from more than 200 distinct species, including many endangered ones.
At the Akron Zoo you'll come nose-to-nose with more than 2,000 animals from around the world, such as tigers, snow leopards, red pandas, penguins, Komodo dragons and so many more!
