This rail-trail traverses 92 miles from Comstock Park in the northern part of Grand Rapids to Cadillac. The terrain is a combination of open & wooded, as the trail passes through 15 cities and 14 open deck bridges.

This trail spans from Riverside Park on the north side of Grand Rapids to Cadillac, Michigan. I've only traversed the portion from Riverside to Sand Lake which is approximately 24 miles. This section is all paved and has a very wide berth in Riverside.
