If you'd like some variety in your Warzone experience, the new DMZ mode offers several activities across Al Mazrah, ranging from rescuing hostages to Fortress raids. This guide will go over all of your options across DMZ.

When you're first getting started with DMZ, your first goal should be the Contracts: these are the bright green icons that offer you various objectives in exchange for large sums of cash, which you can spend at Buy Stations for larger backpacks, weapons, and other gear. These objectives are randomized with each game, but some of the Contracts you can expect are
•Secure Nuclear Material - These are two-part contracts where you acquire a Geiger counter and then search for a cache containing both the material and rare loot.
•Eliminate HVT - This Contract will mark one AI squad's leader, who you'll need to find and kill. It's also possible for this HVT to be killed by other squads throughout the game, where you'll just need to confirm the kill instead.
•Destroy Supplies - Two bomb sites will be marked nearby; you'll need to plant and defend both sites until the bombs detonate.
Once you've gotten used to completing contracts and then escaping via Exfil points, your next goal should be to take on Strongholds. The large, castle-like icons can only be entered through the use of a Stronghold key, which can be dropped from enemies, bought from Buy Stations, or found in Loot Caches.
Fortresses are a step up from Strongholds: they're much larger and filled with more enemies but have much better loot and weaponry. These are the named buildings in your Tac Map, like the US Embassy and the Post Office. To enter a Fortress, you'll need a key, which you can find by killing enemies or searching containers. SAM sites on the Tac Map and in-game can be identified by their intimidating appearance: several missiles pointed upward. Often guarded by the AI, you can clear them out and then use the SAM Site to shoot down an airplane, bringing their rewards to the surface.
You may have wandered into a Radiation Zone without realizing it; these are the bright yellow zones on your Tac Map, surrounded by irradiated grey air in-game. These are some of the most valuable rewards you can claim in DMZ; weapon cases contain high-value rewards like weapon blueprints, but there is only one available per match, and you become highlighted on the map if you pick it up.
Tucked away in buildings, you may happen across safes, holding rare loot and lots of cash inside. These are a risky option if you want to give the locked containers a try, because they both take a minute or two to open, and will call upon a squad of Enemy AI as soon as you do.
