The command line interface outputs logs to the standard output, and accepts newline delimeted input from the standard input, which is executed by the server as commands (similar to being executed by command blocks , but always with the highest privilege level).
I have a server that me and a couple friends play on. we had a world that we screwed around on for a while but got bored and tried an adventure map.
