Wondering if and if so, how, author David Aaron is regarded in the field? I found the essays included in the book to very interesting, but the intended audience seems to be directed towards how to read Genesis through the lens of being Jewish.

He is Professor of Hebrew Bible and History of Interpretation at HUC-JIR, Cincinnati, Ohio. His most recent book is Etched in Stone: The Emergence of the Decalogue (T & T Clark, 2006).
