Camp Washington, Cincinnati (two miles north of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio) was the site for the first Ohio State Fair, October 2–4, 1850. The site was described as 8–10 acres with grassy slopes, shade trees, and numerous tents. The grounds were enclosed by a 10-foot (3.0 m)-high board fence.
Approach the Ohio Expo Center and State Fair on Interstate 71; Take Exit 111 for 17th Avenue; Turn West toward the Ohio Expo Center; Follow the road and cones onto the grounds through the plaza (to your right/north). When you reach the four-way stop at Velma Ave, turn LEFT (south) toward Gate 2.
