How do you identify an alpha wyvern? On crystal isles I trapped one that was black with a white face and shot over 150 tranqs and it just would not die or sleep! Finally I fought it to bits with my wyv and got SO many crystals and more.

Go near the cave and stop to regenerate stamina. 4. Try to see hoy many adult wyverns are flying around the cave. If there are too many you don’t have many chances to successfully steal an egg
Build a wyvern trap and lead it in. If you cant kill it you can possibly trap it. At the very last the trap can allow you to outrange it with a gun. Or tranq arrow it until it goes down, have your dinos attack it while you feed it narcotics.
I have wyverns available on The Island with the Draconic Chronicles mod, FYI. This would be a problem to solve when Scorched Earth comes out eventually. A simple trap in ASE were the stone behemoth gates, but I noticed these same structures is missing a rooftop in ASA.
