Jan 1, 2004 · Hugh Magee. Hugh Magee and his first wife Isabella were amongst the first European immigrant pioneer families to settle in the Vancouver area. Their last name was given to a high school due to that part to the new city being called Magee after the train stop, and due to the high school being built on the family farm land.
