Remy LeBeau resided in the Void as a kinetic energy manipulative mutant dubbed Gambit, with no knowledge of his prior life. While in the Void, Gambit affiliated himself with the Resistance, a group of heroes that opposed the rule of oppressive omega-level mutant Cassandra Nova and her henchmen.
