The interactions of the diverse peoples living in Tennessee shaped the state’s rich history and culture. To commemorate this moment in the state’s history, the Museum’s curators, educators, and exhibition staff collaborated to select 100 objects currently on display that reflect the stories of Tennesseans during the past 225 years and beyond.

The next earliest Tennessee landscapes were topographical views, essentially portraits of places, such as A Full View of Deadrick’s Hill, Jonesboro, now at the Tennessee State Museum.
