Apr 3, 2010 · The series cheerfully rips off Suzumiya Haruhi's titular character, adds her to a Sunrise-inspired ensemble cast, and plunks them into a rehash of Haibane Renmei's basic premise. There's an all-girl rockband, a shy warrior angel, and even a dude who hypnotizes people with his creepy eyes, Code Geass style.
I've rewatched several shows in sub because I couldn't stand the dub acting anymore, but I'm not sure I could bring myself to do that for Angel Beats. As it's the first anime I ever watched dubbed and I watched it a decade ago now when I was still in school, the dub actors have a special place in my heart.
