Oct 17, 2024 · Look for discharge papers, pictures, medals, membership in a veterans organization like the American Legion, or the Veterans of Foreign wars, etc. Look for clues about where he or she lived and served. Dates of enlistment or selective service registration will be helpful along with the name military units they served with. Unit Histories.
